  Ionosphere & Space Weather Dashboard

Solar activity dictates how well high-frequency (HF) radio waves bounce off the ionosphere. We pull live telemetry directly from the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center to gauge current atmospheric conditions.

Live Telemetry

Metric Current Value Scientific Meaning
Solar Flux Index (SFI) 132 Measures total solar radio emission. Higher values (>100) mean a highly charged ionosphere, enabling global communication.
Planetary K-Index (Kp) 1 Measures geomagnetic storm activity. Lower values (<4) mean less atmospheric noise and disruption.
HF Band Conditions Good (Ionosphere Charged) An algorithmic estimate of current propagation quality based on the balance of SFI and Kp.
